Gallagher parking lot restrictions

In Announcements, by , on August 26th, 2016

In 1994 the university parking rules and regulations designated the Gallagher Lot for accessible and visitor parking only. Since that time it has not been permissible to allow any student, employee or faculty parking in the lot. There seems to a bit of misinformation existing, so I thought I would clarify the policy.

According to parking policy:

Student permits, faculty hangtags and employee hangtags are not valid in any purple lined spaces on campus, throughout the entire calendar year.

Employee permits are valid for white and yellow spaces.

Faculty permits are valid for blue and yellow spaces.

Student permits are valid in the resident yellow or commuter yellow spaces.

The NYPA B-2 lot is available 7 a.m. until midnight daily for faculty, employees, visitors and commuter students.

All of the spaces in the Gallagher lot are purple.

Please pass this e-mail and information along to any colleagues who you work with.

I hope this clears up any confusion or miscommunication. As always, if you have any questions, please let me know.

Thank you,

John F. Barker, Director of Campus Safety
