Late August and September Canvas Training for Faculty
The dates and times for Part 2 and 3 of Canvas Basics Training for Faculty are listed below. If you are unable to attend any of the early August sessions, no worries. There will be more Canvas training sessions scheduled throughout the academic year. All training will be held in VINI 107. All Canvas Basics training sessions will be hands-on. I will be demonstrating how to do things in Canvas, then giving you time to try them. With that in mind, please bring a flash drive loaded with the following materials to the training sessions:
- Your current syllabus (or a recent one if you have not yet updated it) saved as a Word file
- A photograph (saved as a jpeg file), a photo of you or of something else
- A short PowerPoint (this can be just a couple of slide with some text)
- A PDF of an article (any article)
- A Word document
- A Rubric if you have one
- Some quiz questions:
- 1 multiple choice
- 1 true or false
- 1 fill in the blank
- 1 short answer
- You may also want to bring a pen and paper for notes.
As seating is limited to 15 per session, please reserve your spot by emailing me at ssadare@niagara.edu. If you cannot make any of the times listed below, you can always set up one-on-one Canvas training. Just e-mail me at ssadare@niagara.edu and we can schedule sessions that are convenient for you.
