“Open Bethlehem” – Monday, Nov. 7
A special screening of the highly acclaimed film “Open Bethlehem” will be held on Monday, Nov. 7, at 7:15 p.m. in Dunleavy 127. “Open Bethlehem” is the story of the world’s most famous little town. Spanning seven momentous years in the life of Bethlehem, the documentary follows a native daughter’s navigation of the political strife which has transformed her hometown. A city with an ancient and sacred past, it is now situated in occupied Palestine, under the shadow of a mammoth man-made border-wall. “Open Bethlehem” is a film that serves as both a plea and a chronicle of a people’s struggle to keep their doors open to the rest of the world. Open to the public and classes are welcome. Sponsored by the Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies Minor and the Honor’s Program. http://www.openbethlehem.org/
