Service Opportunity: Sandals Project

In Upcoming Events, by , on November 30th, 2016

Sandal Falls: A BOLD Project will be at the Kiernan Center on Friday, Dec. 2, from 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Students, faculty and staff are welcome to stop anytime during that time to volunteer for the project. Learn & Serve sheets will be available for students to record their hours.

Sandal Falls is a student-led initiative through Niagara University’s BOLD club that collects sandals, which are worn by tourists who go to the Cave of the Winds attraction at Niagara Falls. Volunteers for the project help with the sorting, sanitizing, pairing and bagging of the sandals, which are then sent throughout the world to areas in need of footwear. Please visit our website to learn more about the project and where we have sent the sandals: http://levesqueinstitute.niagara.edu/about/sandal-falls-project/.

We could also use assistance picking the sandals up on Friday morning on Main Street and dropping them off Friday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. Please contact Brittany DePietro at bdepietro@niagara.edu if you are able to help with this, or if you have any questions about the Sandal Falls project.
