Helping Your Students Better Understand and Work with Research Articles: Save the Date
Helping Your Students Better Understand and Work with Research Articles Monday, February 24, 2014, 3:45 p.m.-4:45 p.m.; St. Vincent’s Hall, CASTL
Do you assign research? Students often find useful research articles but they may feel overwhelmed by what they find or they may not know what to do with what they find. Do your students read the articles thoroughly? Do they truly understand the articles? Do they effectively incorporate information from the articles in their papers?
This session will address ways to help students better understand research articles. It will also address ways to help students better incorporate what they find when they write papers. This session will be facilitated by Melissa Langridge, user education coordinator in the Library, and Sharon Green, coordinator of instructional services in the Office of Academic Support.
