Annual McNulty Lecture Sponsored by the Religious Studies Department: Tuesday, October 16 at 5:15 PM in the Castellani Art Museum.
Please join us for the fourth lecture in our Niagara University October Speaker Series. Dr. Daniel Scheid, Associate Professor of Theology at Duquesne University and author of The Cosmic Common Good: Religious Grounds for Ecological Ethics will deliver a talk entitled “Catholic Social Thought and Ecological Ethics”. Dr. Scheid challenges conventional and traditional expressions of Catholic social thought by reorienting them ecologically, as he proposes an innovative bridge concept—the cosmic common good—that puts Catholic and Christian concepts in dialogue with Hindu, Buddhist, and American Indian/Lakota concepts. Refreshments will follow the lecture.
