Thank you for all the support for our new ONE CALENDAR system: Ad Astra. We are off to a good start and we promised you ongoing trainings and Q-and-A sessions. We have tried to accommodate a lot of individual training and assistance, but would like to invite NU community members to additional sessions below. These programs are lecture-based so you can watch, learn and then go review Ad Astra yourself.

Ad Astra Showcase: An Overview
Oct. 3 | 12:35-1:35 p.m.

Back by popular demand! This showcase is open for anyone at the university and will review the basics of Ad Astra. Learn how to filter, sort, review programs and make request for space. A great program for beginners or anyone interested in how to view the calendar. Jay Stockslader will present the overview and the direction of how Ad Astra will assist the university with overall scheduling.

Ad Astra for Room Approvers
October 4 | 9:30 a.m. -10:30 a.m.

If you approve room requests or are able to schedule an event in your “own space,” then learn the ins and outs of proper scheduling from Mike Jeswald, our event expert. Mike will lead you through notifications and the easiest way to approve requests that you receive for your space.

So you want to schedule an event at NU?

Open for anyone who wants to learn the basics of how to schedule an event. Find out who the room approvers are and how you should work though key people at the university to help your event be a success. We don’t want you out there alone because that is when double booking and conflicts happen. Mike Jeswald and Jay Stockslader will present, along with other members of the Ad Astra team.

Academic Class Scheduling and Ad Astra

Learn from our academic expert, Elaine Moyer, the subtle and detailed ways that Ad Astra will assist the university with scheduling. An overview by Dr. Timothy Downs, VPAA, will set the stage for learning how academic class schedules are displayed. A great session for any faculty member, dean, or community member who works with academic class schedules.
