Diversity in Science seminar
The Biology Department, the Ostapenko Center for Race, Equality and Mission and the Ostapenko Center for Ethics in Medicine and Healthcare are hosting Ngozi Udo as part of the “Diversity in Science” seminar series on Tuesday February 25th from 5:15-6:30 in the Castellani Art Museum. Ngozi Udo, a Maternal Child Health Educator and Research Coordinator with the Healthy Baby Network in Rochester NY will be presenting a talk entitled “Chronicling the History of Black Birth to Analyze and Re-Create Our Current System of Care”. Ngozi is a funny and charismatic public speaker with an important message on how the current healthcare system has been shaped by historic events and perceptions, particularly as it pertains to race.
