Ash Wednesday is February 17
Wednesday, February 17, marks the beginning of the season of Lent. Please join us for Ash Wednesday Services in Alumni Chapel: 8:30am prayer, 12:15pm Mass, and 5:15pm prayer.
Due to the pandemic, we are not able to trace ashes on the forehead. Instead, ashes will be distributed by sprinkling over each person’s head, a traditional custom used regularly in other parts of the world.
Wednesday is also a day of fasting (age 18-59) and abstinence from meat (age 14+) for Catholics (except when a physical or mental health concern is present).
