The Department of Political Science and the Justice Houses invite you to participate in a series of thought-provoking social, environmental, and legal justice-themed films. Our objective is to inspire and engage members of the campus community through these screenings and discussions.  A flyer is attached.  Please join us for this free series!

The story of Fred Hampton, Chairman of the Illinois Black Panther Party, and his fateful betrayal by FBI informant William O’Neal.

The Weather Underground, Wednesday, March 3rd starting at 7 PM: 

Outraged by the Vietnam War and racism in America, this group of former student radicals waged war against the United States government throughout the 1970s. A chronicling of the passions and trajectories that transformed them from college activists into the FBI’s Most Wanted.

Fire in the Heartland, Monday, March 15th starting at 7 PM: 

This is the story of students who stood up to question racism, violence against protesters, and American involvement in the Vietnam War. On May 4, 1970, the National Guard shot thirteen of them, killed four, and all were forever changed.
