Niagara University Repertory Theatre Repertory Theatre Presents Free Children’s Theatre at NU
This summer, NU Theatre’s tradition of entertaining children and families with its N.U.R.T. storytelling troupe returns! Here comes Lily with her Purple Plastic Purse! And Alexander, as usual, is having a Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day… and Pierre just doesn’t care!
Once again, well-loved children’s tales, brought to life by trained actors, all Theatre Performance majors from Niagara University, playing dozens of your favorite characters, will delight audiences of all ages!
The N.U.R.T. troupe will perform in the Leary Theatre, in the Elizabeth Ann Clune Center for Theatre on the NU campus, on Thursdays at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on July 13, 20, and 27, and August 3, 10, and 17. Reservations are not required. Entry is on a first-come, first-served basis.
NU theatre students in the N.U.R.T. cast and crew include: Hayden Carr, Julia Cianfrini, Logan Comstock, Mary Dugan, Jamarion Evans, Paige Janes, and Paris Moffitt.
“We are going to be sharing stories that we think are fun, but also have some valuable ideas about how to treat others and ourselves,” said Dr. Dave Peterson, assistant professor of Theatre and N.U.R.T. director. “The material also provides our actors a great opportunity to really connect with young audiences.”
