Brother from Taizé, France, will visit NU
Please save the date and make reservations to meet Brother Emmanuel, from the ecumenical monastic community at Taizé, France. While at Niagara, Brother Emmanuel will offer a lunch and lecture, as well as a 3-hour retreat complete with evening prayer in the style of Taizé. (He is also available to meet with other groups/classes, if interested.)
Please join the following events on Thursday, April 9:
*Lunch and lecture “Keeping a Place for Silence in a Busy Life,” 12 – 1 p.m., VIN 405
*Dinner and lecture, 5:30 – 7:15 p.m., Heritage Room
Evening Prayer 7:30 p.m., Alumni Chapel
*Reservations are required for lunch and dinner events.
The evening retreat is open to the public, with the hope to gather people from a number of local churches – Catholic and non-Catholic – in a true ecumenical spirit, which is the hallmark of Taizé.
If you have any questions or would like to reserve a seat for lunch, dinner, or both, please contact Kristina Daloia, kdaloia@niagara.edu, 286-8414.
