Listen to Your Heart
Want to know if you’re doing vigorous-intensity activity? Measure your heart rate. Your target heart rate should be within 50-85 percent of your maximum recommended heart rate (220 minus your age). Beginners should start at 50 percent and gradually pick up the pace.
Try to get in some vigorous activity this week and monitor your heart rate. While you don’t always have to work out so hard, this intensity can help your heart and keep you focused.
