Thank you for making the “Afternoon of Service” a success
Once again NU has shown its passion for serving others. During the Afternoon of Service on Sept. 25, the campus community came together to complete several service projects and make donations. Thanks to our volunteers, we sorted about 5,000 pairs of sandals to be shipped out to areas around the world in need of footwear; made 100 snack bags for local youth; donated and sorted clothing for the St. Vincent de Paul Clothing drive; donated lots of goodies for our local SPCA and created cat toys for their furry clients; distributed emergency preparedness safety kit items and material to over 100 students and staff; and more. And the winner of the emergency preparedness basket, compliments of Border Community SERVICE, was one of our NU students — Peter Szilvay.
Thanks to all who participated in one or more of the activities for the Afternoon of Service, you really made a difference.
