The Women’s Studies Program is pleased to announce the 2017-2018 speaker series, “A Celebration of the New York State Women’s Suffrage Centennial.” The series will start with a presentation by Mary Brennan-Taylor, Vice President for Programs at the YWCA of the Niagara Frontier. Brennan-Taylor will discuss “Alice Paul and the Suffrage Militants,” on November 9, 2017, from 5:00-6:30 pm, at 127 Dunleavy Hall on the Niagara University campus. Brennan-Taylor met Alice Paul when she was a young woman, and this inspired her to study Alice Paul’s long career in fighting for women’s rights. The event series is sponsored by the Niagara Falls National Heritage Area.
