In Announcements, by , on November 13th, 2019

Applications are now available to faculty interested in becoming a part of the second Faculty Learning Community (FLC). The FLC was created for faculty interested in integrating project-based learning and/or an IMPACT project into their academic coursework. This past year, the first Faculty Learning Community (FLC) was comprised of a cross section of faculty engaged in a six-month program to introduce them to:

(a) the IMPACT program;

(b) available resources;

(c) themes such as best practices for project-based learning and an introduction to NU’s Catholic and Vincentian mission.

Faculty members in the first FLC cohort are: Yonghong Tong (CIS); Kristine Principe (Finance and Economics); Mitch Alegre (Management); and Madhurima Bhattacharyay (Management).  FLC faculty will be presenting their work at the first FLC Showcase on Friday, November 15, 2019 from 1:30 pm – 2:30 pm in LL Gallagher Center – MPR Room. Light refreshments will be served.

Applications for the second cohort of the FLC and information about the application process is available through the Internal Grant Opportunities Portal: https://niagara.libguides.com/c.php?g=951344&p=7099223.
