Building Effective Teams (2 offerings)
Offering 1
Date: Tuesday, May 11
Time: 1:30PM-3:30PM
Offering 2
Date: Wednesday, May 19
Time: 9:30AM-11:30AM
Description: This interactive workshop, facilitated by Dr. Lisa Williams, will explore the foundations of team building.  What makes a team successful? Most organizations regularly use teams to achieve their objectives, but many of them do not give teams the knowledge and tools they need to achieve their potential. Great teams don’t just happen; they are the result of deliberate design, efforts, and investments made by the organization, team leaders, and team members.  Through different exercises, supervisors will explore the essential components of team building including the importance of creating an environment of mutual trust and support, while identifying team role preferences, and individual leadership style.

Be on the lookout for training and event opportunities around mental health awareness throughout the month of May.  Our colleagues at BestSelf will be facilitating another self-care workshop for faculty and staff on Tuesday, May 25th at 10AM.  Register today on the training and development calendar!
