The Women’s Studies Program announces the annual Susan B. Anthony Writing Contest, open to all undergraduate students who have written papers that are sensitive to women’s and gender issues. Two $100 awards are given: one to a first-year student, and one to a sophomore, junior, or senior-level student. First year students may submit a paper that is 4-15 pages in length, and sophomores through seniors may submit a paper that is 6-15 pages in length. Students may only submit one paper. The contest deadline is Friday, January 31, 2020. Students with winning papers will be invited to present their work at the awards ceremony, held on February 12, 2020, on the Niagara University campus. Susan B. Anthony was born in 1820, so this year marks her 200th birthday! This event is sponsored by the College of Arts and Sciences.
