Appointment of Sr. Nora Gatto, D.C., Director of University Mission and Ministry
NU is pleased to announce the appointment of Sr. Nora Gatto, D.C., a Daughter of Charity, to the position of Director of University Mission and Ministry. She will be working with the Office of Mission Integration as well as, directing the Office of Campus Ministry. She will begin her new role in July 2023.
Sister Nora Gatto, D.C. has served in many roles, mostly in Education and Spiritual Formation, since becoming a Daughter of Charity in 1976. She was born in Jackson Heights, raised in Elmont, and graduated from St. John’s University (BA in Theology) and Fairfield University (MA in Pastoral Counseling and Spiritual Direction). Additionally, Sr. Nora has worked at Niagara in the position of Executive Director of University Mission and Campus Ministry (2003-2008), and served on the Board of Trustees of NU (2010-2018).
