The Castellani Art Museum of Niagara University presents “The Little Things: Uncovering Identity on Campus through Dress and Adornment,” an exhibition curated by the students of AHM 357: Exhibiting Cultures. You are cordially invited to an opening reception at the museum on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, from 4 – 6 p.m. Featuring 15 Niagara University students, this exhibition explores the personal stories behind the little things that we choose to wear on our bodies. Whether it’s through clothing, jewelry, tattoos, or makeup, people’s choices make a public statement about who they are. After interviewing dozens of classmates, the students of AHM 357: Exhibiting Cultures learned that acts of self-adornment can reveal insights into what it means to be a college student today with all of its challenges, opportunities, and stereotypes.
