Canvas Basics: Aug. 29 – Sept. 2

Voluntary Canvas Basics training sessions continues in VINI 105. The Canvas Basics training sessions will be hands-on. We will be demonstrating how to do things in Canvas, then giving you time to try them. With that in mind, please bring a flash drive loaded with the following materials to the training sessions:

  • Your current syllabus (or a recent one if you have not yet updated it) saved as a Word file
  • A Word document
  • A Rubric if you have one
  • You may also want to bring a pen and paper for notes.

If unable to make any of the times listed below, Canvas Basics training sessions will be scheduled throughout the academic year. Or you can always set up one-on-one Canvas training, however, all one-on-one training times are booked for the week of Aug. 29 – Sept. 2.

Or, Canvas Basics for Faculty is available online. This is a voluntary, fully online, self-paced, eCertificate course designed to introduce you to Canvas and its powerful tools that can assist you in providing students with the means they will need in order to succeed in your course whether you are teaching in a face-to-face, hybrid, or in a fully online class. Monday, Aug. 29, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Tuesday, Aug. 30, from 2 to 4 p.m.

Friday, Sept. 2 from noon to 2 p.m.
