Canvas Training or Canvas Basics for Faculty

In Upcoming Events, by , on November 9th, 2016

Voluntary Canvas Training covers what you need to get started using Canvas and working with the Gradebook. This session will be held in VINI 115 on Monday, Nov. 14, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. The sessions will be hands-on, demonstrating how to do things in Canvas, then giving you time to try them. With that in mind, please bring a flash drive loaded with the following materials to the training sessions:

  • Your current syllabus saved as a Word or PDF file
  • A Word document
  • A Rubric if you have one
  • You may also want to bring a pen and paper for notes.

If unable to make it, Canvas training sessions will be scheduled throughout the academic year. Or you can always set up one-on-one Canvas training. Just email sadare@niagara.edu to schedule sessions that are convenient for you.

Or, Canvas Basics for Faculty is now available online. This is a voluntary, fully online, self-paced, eCertificate course designed to introduce you to Canvas and its powerful tools that can assist you in providing students with the means they will need in order to succeed in your course whether you are teaching in a face-to-face, hybrid, or in a fully online class. To sign up, email Sierra Adare-Tasiwoopa ápi at ssadare@niagara.edu and include your NU email address.
