Car Crash Simulation Illustrates Consequences Of Driving While Impaired

Impaired drivers are involved in nearly 60 percent of all Halloween highway fatalities nationwide, according to the National Highway Traffic Administration.

To illustrate the seriousness of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, a group of Niagara University students coordinated a DUI car crash simulation on campus Oct. 27.

The Upper Mountain Fire Department, Lewiston Police Department, Mercy Flight, NU Office of Campus Safetyand student-actors assisted in the simulation, which took place outside of the B. Thomas Golisano Center for Integrated Sciences.
