In Announcements, by , on October 30th, 2013

Please join Niagara University in Ontario in welcoming university leaders from China. From Oct. 28 through Nov. 11, 24 administrators representing numerous university leadership positions are participating in a comprehensive executive training program hosted by the College of Education in partnership with SuOn College in China. Visiting Chinese delegates will be informed about NU’s teacher certification programs, including our philosophy, conceptual framework and approach to instruction and assessment. The program includes learning about the history and structure of publicly funded education in Ontario, the role of the Ontario College of Teachers and the Ministry of Education, as well as the accreditation of education programs. Faculty from the Ontario and Lewiston campuses are conducting two sessions each day, visiting schools with the university leaders, and participating in weekend cultural activities. The College of Education and its operation in Ontario lead a unique partnership with SuOn College, one of the largest training centers for Chinese educators in China. For more information, contact Tom Donovan, Director of Niagara University in Ontario.
