Commencement 2023
Dear Members of the University Community,
It’s hard to believe, but Commencement 2023 is fast approaching and we are looking for staff members to work. There are so many responsibilities to fill, so please take a moment to review the dates and times below, and select any or all Graduation Ceremonies that you are available to work at Artpark in Lewiston.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with setup and breakdown
- Backstage
- Courtyard to greet and direct students and their guests
- Distribute programs to the guests as they enter the Main Stage Theater
- Upper and lower parking lots
*Non-exempt employees will be paid their normal hourly rate through the Commencement Budget. A separate timesheet will be provided for you to complete.
Dates/Times Needed for Staffing:
Thursday, May 11, 2023
Graduate/Ph.D. Commencement Exercise
Hours: 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Ceremony starts at 7:30 p.m.
*Dinner will be provided beginning at 4pm on campus
Saturday, May 13, 2023
Undergraduate Commencement Exercise
AM ceremony:
Business Administration, Education, Hospitality, Sport and Tourism Management
Hours: 8 a.m. – noon
Ceremony starts at 9:45 a.m.
*Lunch provided at Artpark beginning at noon
PM ceremony:
Arts and Sciences, and Nursing
Hours: 1:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Ceremony starts at 2:45 p.m.
*Lunch provided at Artpark at 12:00 p.m.
