Community Garage Sale Nets $2,000 For Campus Ministry
Niagara University’s end-of-year community garage sale has proven to be advantageous for a second straight year.
“2 Good 2 Toss,” a service project established in 2013 by members of NU’s Vincentian Mission Certificate program, kept materials out of landfills and raised $2,075 for the Office of Campus Ministry and the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
NU students (and employees) were encouraged to donate items that were clean and in good condition, rather than discard them or leave them behind in the rush to summer break. The materials were then sold during a community sale held May 15-16 in the Kiernan Center.
