Community Garage Sale Tops $5,000 In Support Of Campus Ministry
Niagara University’s end-of-year community garage sale has now raised more than $5,000 in support of itsOffice of Campus Ministry and the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
“2 Good 2 Toss” is a service project established in 2013 by members of NU’s Vincentian Mission Certificate program to keep materials out of landfills and generate funds for mission-critical programs.
NU students (and employees) were encouraged to donate items that were clean and in good condition, rather than discard them or leave them behind in the rush to summer break. The materials were then sold during a community sale held May 21-22 in the Kiernan Center.
Nearly $1,800 was raised this May.
