Constitution Day
Constitution Day is commemorated every Sept. 17, the day that Constitutional Convention signed the nation’s founding document in Philadelphia. Join the departments of political science and history in recognizing this important milestone in United States history by stopping by the lower level Gallagher Center and picking up your FREE “pocket-sized” Constitution. Anyone who recites or reads aloud a passage from this founding document will receive a free candy bar, while supplies last.
Note that federal law requires that all schools and universities are required to observe Constitution Day, something that anti-federalists like Humphrey Ploughjogger would find abhorrent.
