“Crime and Punishment in Islamic Law” lecture: Thursday, Oct. 8

The Middle East and Islamic Studies minor will host a guest lecture on Thursday, Oct.  8, at 4 p.m. in the multi-purpose room of lower level Gallagher Center.  Dr. Kent Schull will give a talk entitled, “Crime and Punishment in Islamic Law.”  Dr. Schull teaches at SUNY Binghamton, and he is the author of Prisons in the Late Ottoman Empire: Microcosms of Modernity.
