‘Cyrana’ Kicks Off Tonight

In Today's Events, by , on March 25th, 2015

Niagara University Theatre will present “Cyrana” from March 26 – March 31.

Cyrana — poet, soldier, and hopeful romantic– is a mistress of all trades, exasperatingly stubborn and exceptionally skilled. And yet, she encounters a tangle of triangular trouble as she vies for her own true love against both her adversary and her close friend.  When you’ve discovered the courageous heart behind the spectacular nose, you may find yourself falling in love as well. This gender-bending twist on the celebration of poetry, love and panache reminds us that often what you yearn for is right under your nose.

“Cyrana” will be on stage in the Leary Theatre within the Elizabeth Ann Clune Center for Theatre, Clet Hall, at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, Monday March 30, and Tuesday, March 31. The production will be presented at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 27, and Saturday, March 28. In addition, 2 p.m. matinees will be on stage on Saturday, March 28, and Sunday, March 29 (with post-show discussion).
