Dr. Sheeran to Oversee NUSTEP

In Announcements, by , on February 7th, 2017

Thomas J. Sheeran, Ed.D., has taken on the role of overseeing the Niagara University Senior Term Enrichment Program (NUSTEP) within the Office of Continuing Education.  Dr. Sheeran fills the position previously occupied by Christine Schwartz, who retired from NU in December.

NUSTEP enables high school junior and senior students to earn college credits and is currently accredited by the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Programs (NACEP).  The NUSTEP program enrolled over 1,500 students last year and, under Dr. Sheeran’s direction, it will continue initiatives such as re-accreditation;  the NUSTEP online pilot program; and increased coordination with current NU faculty liaisons.

Dr. Sheeran has served as a faculty member in Niagara University’s College of Education for over four decades. He will continue to teach undergraduate and graduate courses while managing NUSTEP.

Please join us in congratulating and thanking Dr. Sheeran for taking on this critical position at Niagara!  He may be reached in Continuing Education at ext. 8411 or at his current email address (tjs@niagara.edu).
