E-recycling from SusCom: Accepting materials through Feb. 5
When in doubt – DON’T throw it out.
Recycle your old electronics. Look around your home or office and bring in your old electric goods to be recycled.
(Please see continued.)
The IT department, in conjunction with Sunnking, is recycling computers, monitors, peripherals, electronics, televisions, small appliances, and pretty much anything with an electrical cord. The material will be recycled and part of the proceeds will be used to sponsor children to attend Camp Good Days, a camp for families that have been affected by cancer. Aaron Straub (Kit) has been instrumental in spearheading this initiative.
The list of acceptable materials can be found here.

Niagara University’s IT department will accept materials at St. Vincent’s annex from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. anytime between now and the deadline for drop-off of materials, FRIDAY, Feb. 5. The material does not have to work but please no broken glass. The collected material will be donated in the university’s name to support the e-scrap event. So bring in those cassette, VHS, and reel-to-reel players, along with that Radioshack computer from the back closet and help children enjoy a special time in a safe environment.
Sustainably yours, Mark Gallo, Ph.D, and Dan McMann, co-chairs of Sustainability Committee.
