Employee Challenge: Donate toothbrushes, over-the-counter sunglasses, and eye drops

The NU Lions Club is partnering with Seeds of Love, all-volunteer ministry based at St. Christopher’s Church in Tonawanda, NY, that assists impoverished people in rural Nicaragua (see https://saintchris.org/116).  The NU Lions Club has committed to helping Seeds of Love by collecting the following items:

  • New, unopened toothbrushes
  • Non-prescription sunglasses
  • Small (1.1 oz.) eye drops from dollar stores

In the fall, the NU Lions Club will invite students to donate these items and will do a fundraiser to purchase even more.  To kick-start this effort, we are presenting a summer challenge to NU employees.  Our goal is to collect from employees 50 new, unopened toothbrushes; 25 pairs of non-prescription sunglasses; and 25 small containers of eye drops before August 23.

Can you help us reach this goal?  Donations can be brought to club adviser Sharon Green in the Academic Success Center, 1st floor, Seton Hall.  Or you may contact Sharon at ext. 8071 or sgreen@niagara.edu and she will pick up your donations.  The NU Lions Club thanks you.
