Faculty Development Tip of the Week: Zoom Closed Captioning
Zoom recently added the ability to turn on live, auto-generated closed captioning when hosting a Meeting. To enable this feature, begin by signing in to your Zoom web portal (niagara-edu.zoom.us) with your PurplePass credentials and clicking on Settings from the left-hand menu. Scroll down to the In-Meeting (Advanced) section and toggle on Closed Captioning. Be sure to tick the box that says “Enable live transcription service to show transcript on the side panel in-meeting.” During your next Zoom meeting, you’ll be able to enable live transcription of your Meeting.
