Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2:15-3:15 PM in BIS 350-1

The co-chairs of the Academic Integrity Board will answer your questions about the University’s policies and procedures governing student violations of academic integrity. Faculty who suspect that a student has cheated, plagiarized, falsified or misrepresented data, or engaged in some other form of academic misconduct are required  to file a report with the Academic Integrity Board.  All members of the faculty are invited to participate in this forum, where we will talk about what constitutes an academic violation, why it is important to report a violation to the AIB, what happens when a student is reported, how the appeal process works, as well as general classroom practices that help to avoid academic violations in the first place. Light refreshments will be served.
