Family Literacy Center Presenting Free Children’s Stories At Canalside

The Ultimate Author’s Chair is a new family event that is being be held at Canalside this summer. And thanks to Niagara University’s Family Literacy Center, select faculty, teachers, librarians, pre-service teachers and local authors will be reading stories to children there every Thursday morning through Aug. 25.

Each free event takes place 11 a.m.-12 p.m. at the big, yellow Adirondack chair at Canalside in downtown Buffalo.

Children will also have an opportunity to choose a book to take home with them, along with souvenirs from Niagara University. Following the read-aloud session, families are encouraged to participate in a host of fun and engaging activities presented by Western New York Family Magazine.
