Father Maher Joins 34 Students In Kappa Gamma Pi Graduate Honor Society

Thirty-four Niagara University students were inducted into Kappa Gamma Pi, the National Catholic College Graduate Honor Society, during a ceremony held May 1, 2015, in St. Vincent’s Hall.

Three honorary inductees – Father James J. Maher, C.M., Niagara president; Father Kevin G. Creagh, C.M., NU’s vice president for university mission and ministry; and Mark R. Laurrie, deputy superintendent of the Niagara Falls City School District – were also welcomed into Kappa Gamma Pi.

The purpose of Kappa Gamma Pi is to strive for a high standard of personal Christian excellence, service and scholarship among members; to encourage individual and group initiative and participation in local and national church and secular affairs; and to awaken a spirit of Christian leadership among the undergraduates of Kappa affiliated colleges and universities.
