Freshman Receives Overcoming Obstacles Award, $10,000 Scholarship
Enuel “Matthew” Caraballo, a Niagara University freshman from Brooklyn, will receive the 2013 Overcoming Obstacles Student Achievement Award from the Community for Education Foundation at an Oct. 24 dinner to be held at the Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers in Manhattan..
Along with the honor, Caraballo will receive a $10,000 scholarship to use toward postsecondary education.
“Your accomplishments, insight, intelligence and passion for helping others make you a deserving honoree,” wrote Erin Capone, executive director of the Community for Education Foundation, in a congratulatory letter.
