Giving Tuesday

In Other, by , on November 21st, 2017

Buffalo, N.Y., and the greater Western New York region is considered to be the “City of Good Neighbors” by many, as people always seem to be willing to help their neighbors and peers in need.

#GivingTuesday – the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving – exemplifies this message, as Niagara University is looking for students to donate nonperishable food items for this food drive to help those in need during this national day of giving. The partnership between the IMPACT/ReNU office, the Alumni Engagement Office, and the newly formed LeadershipNU has adopted this national initiative to help spread the Vincentian message of helping those in need of assistance. This year, the goods raised at Niagara University will be donated to the Community Missions of Niagara Frontier, and the Heart, Love and Soul food pantry and dining room.

On Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, Niagara University students will be encouraged to support this national event by donating nonperishable food items at more than a dozen drop-off sites around campus, including inside the IMPACT Office in the Academic Complex, Room 125, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Students who donate can enjoy hot chocolate and cookies! To find the locations of other drop-off sites on campus, please call ext. 8750.

#GivingTuesday is an event that only happens one day a year – please consider making a donation Nov. 28 to help our neighbors have a fun, safe, and memorable holiday season.
