How can the Office of Academic Support and the NU library support you and your students?
An addition to the CASTL Walk-in Workshop this Friday, Sept. 16, from 12:15 to 2 p.m. in the NU library basement, NU librarians will be available to answer questions about library services and resources for faculty and student support. Bridget Doloresco will answer questions about library instruction opportunities, including the design of online course guides to support research assignments. Samantha Gust will provide information about library collections, ILLiad (interlibrary loan), and course reserve materials. Faculty are also encouraged to share purchase recommendations for the library collection.
Please join the conversation and learn about the many services that the Office of Academic Support provides and how the NU library can help you and your students. OAS staff members will describe their services and answer your questions: Martha Krupa, Writing Center; Ginny Pasceri, OAS support programs; Julie Czyrny, tutoring; Kelly Engert, support for students with disabilities; Sharon Green, reading and study skills support and placement of students into CRL 101; Mary Kendzia, placement of students into LSK 095; Diane Stoelting, Office of Academic Support.
This will be the first in the CASTL’s 2016-2017 Walk-in Workshop series. Scheduled over a two- to three-hour extended lunch period, Walk-in Workshops will include a light that is available throughout the workshop. Connect with the staff of the Office of Academic Support and other faculty when it’s convenient for your schedule for an on-going conversation that addresses the challenges that faculty and adjuncts face. All full- and part-time faculty are invited to lunch at this and all other Walk-in Workshops.
