In Announcements, by , on March 7th, 2018

The YWCA of the Niagara Frontier Advisory Council is pleased to announce a workshop of the new Institute for Public Leadership program. The workshop will be held at Niagara University’s Russell J. Salvatore Dining Commons on March 24, 2018, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

It will include distinguished invited speakers and roundtable discussion panelists, and is being facilitated by Dr. Jamie Pimlott, associate professor of political science. The goal of the workshop is directed toward encouraging women to run for office – from school boards to local, state and federal positions – and manage campaigns.

A registration fee of $35 includes a light breakfast, lunch and printed materials. Registration is available online at www.ywcaniagarafrontier.org or by calling the YWCA of the Niagara Frontier office at 716.433.6714. For additional program information, email YWCAoftheniagarafrontier@gmail.com.

“The Institute for Public Leadership workshop is the first step for any woman who wants to learn about our political process and get involved. We will give attendees the knowledge, contacts and resources needed for them to Go! Run! Lead!” – Amanda Irons Rindfleisch, YWCA Advisory Council Co-chair.
