In Announcements, by , on October 14th, 2015

On Tuesday, Oct. 20, Niagara University will be hosting a forum titled “Getting to Work: A Community Conversation about Workforce Development and Transportation in Niagara County.”

The event will run from 9 a.m.  (8:30 a.m. registration and continental breakfast) until 12:30 p.m. in the Castellani Art Museum.

The forum is being presented by the Levesque Institute in partnership with the Niagara Area Foundation.  It will feature national speakers along with regional speakers from the Department of Labor, the Buffalo-Niagara Partnership as well as the Greater Buffalo Niagara Regional Transportation Council.

A panel discussion will follow and explore the complexities of workforce development efforts and transportation challenges, identified as top issues by the community during the September 2014 Niagara County Solutions Forum: On-ramps to Success.

The university community is welcome to attend; however, seating is limited so please RSVP to Gail Struzik at gstruzik@niagara.edu.

Questions about the forum can be directed to Dave Taylor at dtaylor@niagara.edu.

Please note that this forum is not specifically focused on the transportation and workforce challenges facing Niagara University students; however, this certainly can be introduced during the panel discussion and subsequent Q-and-A session.
