Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between NU and Hand in Hand for Haiti

Tuesday, Sept. 23 – 11:05 a.m., upper level Gallagher Center

The annual “Opening Mass” for the Feast of St. Vincent is an NU tradition in which all members of the university are welcome to attend. During this year’s Mass, the signing of a memorandum of understanding between NU and Hand in Hand for Haiti will take place. Hand in Hand for Haiti is an organization founded by NU alumnus Ed Brennan, ’78, which operates the Lycee Jean Baptiste Pointe du Sable, a world-class school educating the poorest of local Haitian children. Both Hand in Hand for Haiti and NU strongly believe that education is vital to the growth of Haiti. We sign this memorandum to mark the official beginning of a fruitful partnership between our institutions in which NU pledges its support through service, research and education.  For more details, contact the Office of University Mission and Ministry at 286.8400.
