May is a time to raise awareness of those living with mental or behavioral health issues and to help reduce the stigma so many experience.  This summer, our colleagues from BestSelf will be facilitating two free Mental Health First Aid training sessions for any interested employees or students of Niagara University.  Please see session offerings and registration link below:

Offering 1:  July 14, 2021:  9:00AM-3:00PM

Offering 2:  August 16, 2021:  11:00AM-5:00PM

To Register:  Please sign up through the BestSelf Registration page.

Please note this training will take place via Zoom. Additionally there are 2 hours of pre-work required for this training that will be accessed digitally.

Mental Health First Aid- Just as CPR helps you assist an individual having a heart attack, Mental Health First Aid helps you assist someone experiencing a mental health or substance use-related crisis. In the Mental Health First Aid course, you learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help. Duration 6 hours virtual with 2 hours of self led pre-work.
