Men’s rugby team competing in national tournament this weekend

The Niagara University men’s rugby team will be in Cary, North Carolina, for the Memorial Day weekend, playing in the USA Rugby Collegiate Men’s Division II 7’s National Championship. The team is one of the final 32 teams to compete in the tournament. Niagara gained a spot in the tournament by beating Oswego which secured the New York State Championship and an automatic bid to the nationals. This is the first time the team has ever qualified for this event.  The team is coached by Zack Rutkowski who serves as coordinator of event operations and guest experience for the Buffalo Bills.
