Message from facility services: Nov. 23 tree maintenance

In Announcements, by , on November 21st, 2016

On Wednesday, Nov. 23, tree maintenance will be taking place on campus. To promote and maintain healthy growth on campus, crews will be doing some pruning and basic tree care as well as removing dead and diseased trees. In advance of this process, a tree specialist, our grounds manager and Dr. Mark Gallo toured the campus to review the existing state of trees. After that review and much consultation, it was apparent that 8 trees will need to be removed. It is this sustainable management of our tree population that allows our campus to remain beautiful. Although you may see crews working on campus, this project should cause minimal disruption to the campus community. There should be no blocking of roads and the only noise should be from chainsaws and other related machinery. This will be done during normal business hours although the university is closed on this day. Please contact facility services at ext. 8430 with any questions.
