Wednesday, Sept. 24, from 4 – 5 p.m., in St. Vincent’s Hall 407

Undocumented workers, immigration, underage assylees—this panel will address the international crisis in which policy meets human displacement. The panel will include Jessica Lazarin, Esq., a local immigration attorney who represents unaccompanied immigrant minors in foster care with the Catholic Family Center in Rochester; Austin Iheke, an educator and Ph.D. student at NU who works with assylee and refugee students in the Buffalo school district; and Mary McCarrick, OSF, the director of Catholic Charities Buffalo.

Catholic Charities is a major provider of a host of services to refugees and assylees, both in Buffalo and around the world. After the panel, the conversation will continue in the lobby of fourth floor of St. Vincent’s Hall where refreshments will be served.
