Investigate Interval Training

Research has found that interval training – alternating quickly between intense and less strenuous activity – may increase calorie burn and aerobic capacity. Interval training is also an easy way to mix up your workout, keeping you energized and preventing boredom.

Try interval training with some of your favorite activities this week. Add 30 seconds to 3 minutes of brisk walking to your usual pace, start sprinting on your bike ride, or try an interval class at your local fitness center.
