Save Your Soles
Properly fitted and unworn workout shoes are essential to prevent sprains, strains and other injuries. Pick a shoe that suits both your selected activity and your foot’s length, width and arch height. Replace your shoes when the outsole, tread or heel wears out, or you have worn them for 300-500 miles (about 6 months for an everyday exerciser, one year for a casual one).
Check the condition of your workout shoes this week. If it’s time to get a new pair, visit an athletic store to get the best fit for your foot and activity. If they’re in good shape, make a note of when you will need a new pair.
