Rest to Recover
As exercise becomes part of your daily routine, remember to give yourself appropriate rest, too. Over training decreases performance and increases the risk of soreness, fatigue and injury. Avoid these issues by having one rest day from high-intensity cardio each week.
You should also wait a day between performing strength training exercises on the same muscles.
Make sure you’re getting adequate rest this week by writing out your fitness routine. If you’re over training, switch up your activity days or reserve a day for less intense exercise, like walking, playing and household chores.
